On Tuesday night, the Richland Two school board approved the hiring of Norman Washington II as the next head football coach at Spring Valley High School.  Coach Washington is a proud alumnus of Spring Valley High School (class of 2007).

Coach Washington has a proven track record in player development – He has helped over 100 (+) student-athletes earn scholarships at every level of college football (Power 5, Group of 5, Ivy- League, FCS, Division II, NAIA, and JUCO).

Coach Washington has played a huge part in developing competitive teams and nurturing individual talent on and off the field.  This includes helping develop Under Armour All-American and Army/Navy All-Americans.

As a proud Viking alum, Coach Washington, is committed to restoring pride, tradition, and a championship mindset to the program.  He understands the deep-rooted legacy of Spring Valley Football and is dedicated to its resurgence.
